The Timeline
You may have many questions when it comes to our Building Design Service, below is a step by step timeline that you can refer to when wanting to familiarise yourself with our process, from the very first meeting to application approval.

1. Consultation
We provide a free initial consultation where we will discuss with you your requirements. At this meeting, we will also consider any site/planning constraints that may affect the project.

2. Fee Proposal
Following this initial meeting we will prepare a project specific fee proposal for you.

3. Survey
Once acceptance of our fee proposal has been received we will carry out a measured survey of the property, from which existing drawings will be prepared.

4. Drawing Review
Once the initial drawings are done we will arrange a meeting for your review and comments on the plans.

5. Finalised Plan Drawings
The planning drawings are then prepared.

6. Planning Application Submitted
We will submit the application and keep you updated with the planning applications progress and any request from the planners.

7. Planning Approval Received
Once planning permission is received we will ask you to confirm if you wish us to proceed with the building regulations application.

8. SE Calcs/ Build-over Agreements
We will then reach out to our Structural Engineer for a quote should this be required. Or a build-over agreement with the local water authority

9. Building Application Submitted
Once all structural engineers or build over agreements have been received, this will form part of our written specification for the works which we will submit to building control.

10. Building Regulation Approval
As soon as we receive your approval, we will issue your pre-construction information pack, which contains all the approvals, drawings, calculations, specifications etc for you to give to your builder to begin your project.
